Lord Krishna is considered as the Supreme God by many Hindus. The Bhagavad Gita is a song sung by Lord Krishna at a crucial time when the Kurukshetra war was about to begin. Arjuna, the main archer in the war, was perplexed by seeing great personalities and blood-relatives in the opposite party. He got so much compassion towards them. Arjuna unable to understand whether to fight or not, surrendered to Lord Krishna.

- Srimad Bhagavad Gita is sung in Sanskrit language.It is a part of the epic Mahabharata, occupies chapter 23 to 40 of Mahabharata. It contains 700 verses and 18 chapters.
- Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata are NOT mythological. Mahabharata took place in the history and Lord Krishna came to the earth about 5000 years ago. So Bhagavad Gita is about 5000 years old.
